To make a straight, simple wand like mine:
* Use a Dremel rotary tool to rough out basic shape.
* Sand to finish.
* Use a lint-free rag to apply two to three coats of stain. (Your local Home Depot has a wide array of colors.)
* Use a similar rag to apply polish until desired sheen is accomplished.
No carving skill is required.

What an ingenious way of fashioning a wand...I might try that!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could do that, make wands, but I would most definitely lose a finger or 10. I will someday get myself one though :) Oh and I love your photos :)
